Mixing drivers can be a boon to tuning, and is certainly the case here (more on that later). The ESTs are a specialized and expensive driver and virtually any IEM that includes one (a real one) is expensive. It features a single 10mm biodynamic driver, four Knowles balanced armatures, and two European Sonion electrostatic drivers (ESTs for short). It retails for $649, which is unquestionably expensive, but that price deserves its proper context.
